Ode to Life, Gaudí's Sagrada Familia

Gaudí (1852 Reus-1926 Barcelona), always expressed his hope that the different facades of the Temple of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona were brightly painted, hallmark of living architecture inspired by nature. Coinciding with the festival of La Merce in Barcelona and Montreal as guest city, was hired by the prestigious media company Moment Factory who created a great visual and sound show (called Audiovisual Mapping 3d) that was projected onto the facade of Birth expiatory church of La Sagrada Familia.

The great mass rally, called "Ode to Life", which took place on September 24, 2012 and lasted 15 minutes repeated at 9, 10, 11 and 12 at night, shows the special moment of "birth of Planet Earth". The show features an explosion of color, flowers, light, water and life, accompanied by a superb heavenly music. This majestic facade side, where the sun rises every morning, and therefore symbolizes "the birth of life" - the first facade was built and the only one completed in Gaudi could see life down, beautiful colorful image one of the highlights of the show.



The Nativity facade,-also called the life, joy and Christmas, it is called so because it shows the birth, childhood and adolescence of Jesus. The facade of the Sagrada Familia access consists of three sites, one central and two lateral dedicated to the three theological virtues, each door is called hope, charity and faith, "these three virtues are very important in the Jesus' life, in analogy to St. Joseph, the Virgin Mary and Jesus. The construction of the central tower of La Sagrada Familia (the Tower of Christ), will start in 2013 and amended the city skyline when construction is complete with its 170 meters high at its highest point.
