¿Sabías qué...? de la semana / Did you know...? of the week: Cristo Redentor Brasil

At first he had designed some sketches by the artist Carlos Oswaldo which appreciated a Christ carrying a cross, also another sketch he carried in his hand a globe symbolizing the world. / The idea of building in the city of Rio a religious monument dates back no less than the year 1859 thanks to the vision we had at the time the Father Pedro Maria Boss and Queen Elizabeth, but the idea did not resume until 1921 by aid a campaign called "Monument week", and it came to match the approximate date of the country's independence.
