En la edición, sin un esfuerzo de voluntad por parte del artista sería imposible crear algo bonito y de gran calidad. Cuando estás terminando una publicación sientes que las fuerzas se te van agotando debido al gran esfuerzo realizado. Toda publicación es siempre mejorable y puede ser ampliada y perfeccionada repetidas veces con el paso del tiempo. Aprendí el arte de la fotografía, la escritura y la edición por un gran esfuerzo autodidacta, y me ha ido bien hasta ahora. La realidad es que me era necesario aprender estas tres disciplinas para poder crear libros. En los especial frases célebres sobre arquitectos y artistas que he publicado en el blog. Siempre había visto webs en internet, bien sólo con las frases, o bien toda la obra de cada artista a través de ilustraciones. Se me ocurrió la idea de poder fusionar ambos contenidos en una sola publicación. Por supuesto, tanto la elección de las frases, como las diferentes ilustraciones, son muy personales. Pero juntas, frases e imágenes, hacen una combinación muy especial, ya que nos acercan en gran medida al artista, gracias a las opiniones vertidas por los propios personajes. Ahora resulta muy fácil admirar la obra por ejemplo de los grandes pintores Impresionistas y Postimpresionistas como Monet, Renoir, Degas, Cézanne, Gauguin o Van Gogh, entre otros. Aunque reconozco que resumir la obra de un artista en 15 o 20 ilustraciones se hace a veces muy difícil. Los vídeos aportan también gran contenido y música, gran aliada, que le da entidad a cada post. Aquí es donde se demuestra que sin escribir nada, también se puede publicar algo bonito. Este tipo de publicaciones se han convertido en mi pequeño homenaje a los artistas. / In the special quotations on architects and artists that I posted in the blog. En el mundo de la arquitectura y el arte en general, no debemos menospreciar ninguno de los recursos que nos brinda la tecnología. / In the world of architecture and art in general, we should not belittle any of the resources provided to us by technology.

Un mismo edificio puede ser muchas cosas al mismo tiempo: postmoderno, híbrido, deconstructivista, escultórico, antropomorfo, ecológico o sostenible, digital (CAD), y hasta un rascacielos. / The same building can be many things at once: postmodern, hybrid, deconstructivist, sculptural, anthropomorphic, ecological or sustainable, digital (CAD), and even a skyscraper.

Bastante sorprendido estoy de que hayan podido publicar un libro sobre el emblemático rascacielos que Gaudí proyectó para Nueva York (el Hotel Atraction), de nada menos que 120 páginas. / I'm rather surprised that they were able to publish a book about the iconic skyscrapers Gaudí designed for New York (the Hotel atraction) of no less than 120 pages.

Ha sido para mí todo un privilegio haber podido fotografiar algunas de las obras de mis arquitectos y artistas favoritos como Miguel Ángel, Bernini, Gaudí, Gehry o Calatrava, entre muchos otros. Cuando contemplamos arquitectura, en el caso concreto de los edificios altos y rascacielos, si miramos el edificio justo desde abajo, a sus pies (vista contra-picado), el color azul del cielo es más intenso (más oscuro) justo encima de nosotros, y se va aclarando a medida que dirigimos la mirada hacia lo lejos. Esta visión que nos brinda la naturaleza la he aplicado en Photoshop a algunas de mis últimas ilustraciones, y desde luego mejoran la apariencia real del motivo. Realmente parecen fotografías! / When we look at architecture, in the case of tall buildings and skyscrapers, if we look at the building from just below your feet (low view), the blue color of the sky is more intense (darker) just above us, and it is clear as to turn our gaze into the distance. This view that nature provides us've applied in Photoshop to some of my latest artwork, and certainly improve the actual appearance of the subject. Really they look like photographs!

Hay rascacielos interesantes sobre los que merece la pena escribir y luego están los que no te llegan. Hay obras extraordinarias que dialogan entre sí y se complementan, la Ópera de Sídney con el Puente de la Bahía, el Puente Golden Gate con la Pirámide de Transamérica, el Edificio Chrysler con el Empire State, y así un largo etcétera. / There are extraordinary works that dialogue and complement each other, the Sydney Opera House with the Bay Bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge with the Pyramid of Transamerica, the Chrysler Building with the Empire State, and so on.

Cada Rascacielos tiene su perfil y su sello distintivo. El conjunto general de la composición nos muestra la totalidad del edificio, pero lo que lo define realmente es el remate de terminación superior. Las siluetas y diagramas que nos muestran una comparativa del colectivo mundial de rascacielos nos dan una lectura clara y son un muy buen ejemplo. / Each Skyscraper has its profile and its hallmark. Me fijo en algunos edificios, (normalmente de tipo escultural), y luego intento escribir sobre ellos.
