¿Sabías qué...? Después de su inauguración en 1969, la Lake Point Tower de Chicago, uno de los mejores ejemplos del Estilo Internacional junto con el Edificio Seagram de Nueva York, —diseño de Mies van der Rohe—, se convirtió en el edificio residencial más alto del mundo. Además, una de las curiosidades más interesantes de la obra emplazada al otro lado de la Avenida Lake Shore Drive es que con el diseño de los arquitectos John Heinrich y George Schipporeit mediante tres alas lobuladas formando 120° entre ellas, se favoreció enormemente la introspección de los propietarios del edificio, ya que los distintos apartamentos están dispuestos de tal forma, que queda garantizada la privacidad de los residentes.
