Here is a list of the Best Featured Tall Buildings and Skyscrapers awarded in 2008 by the CTBUH Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. The major prize is held once a year and has been created by the non-profit agency that has its headquarters in Chicago. 8 major Awards are given in various Categories the CTBUH: 6 reward excellence in design and construction and the other 2 to the entire career of an architect or engineer, however, was established in 2012 Category "Innovation Award".

CTBUH Global Icon Award, which so far only received the Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2010, aims to reward high buildings "only" that caused a great impact on society at large, not only regionally but throughout the world, in which, apart from its great Architecture, are valued as other important aspects of innovation in the planning, design, implementation and Urbanism, this award will be given only every 10 or 15 years and is only granted by the Board Members of the Council, there is no project submission in this case, and will only be given when he deserves an exceptional building.

Best Tall Building Award - World (selected from the four regional winners)
Tall Building Award - Most Innovative Year

Fazlur R. Khan Medal Award (no show)
