Me complace presentarte este interesantísimo Vídeo Timelapse sobre el protector solar móvil denominado "Burke Brise-Soleil" que diseñó el arquitecto español Santiago Calatrava para la ampliación del Museo de Arte de Milwaukee. En él, podemos observar el momento en que las alas del pájaro antropomorfo alzan el vuelo. Estas enormes alas, que pesan 90 toneladas, se sitúan sobre el gran hall de entrada de bienvenida al museo denominado "Windhover Hall".

La enorme cubierta se compone de las características alas simétricas entre sí que se distribuyen en treinta y seis alerones a cada lado de la estructura principal. En palabras del propio arquitecto, "en el elemento de coronación de los brise-soleil, la forma del edificio es a la vez formal (completa la composición), funcional (controla el nivel de luz), simbólica (ofrece la apertura de dar la bienvenida a los visitantes), e icónico (porque crea una imagen memorable para el Museo y la ciudad)".

I am pleased to introduce this exciting Timelapse Video on mobile sunscreen called "Burke Brise-Soleil" designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava for the expansion of the MAM Milwaukee Art Museum. In it, we can see the time when the anthropomorphic bird's wings take flight. These huge wings, weighing 90 tons, are located on the large entrance hall welcoming the museum called "Windhover Hall."

The enormous roof consists of two symmetrical wings each other characteristics which are distributed in thirty-six flaps on each side of the main structure. In the words of the architect, "the crowning element of the brise-soleil, the way the building is both formal (complete composition), functional (controls the level of light), symbolic (opening offers to the welcome to visitors), and iconic (because it creates a memorable image for the Museum and the city). ".
